I really really enjoyed doing my marine biology degree. I hadn’t intended to study marine biology, and was offered it on the back of some shark research volunteering work that I had done after leaving school.
I didn’t find it difficult, but I had always enjoyed science so it is easy to enjoy learning something that you find interesting.
Different universities offer different focuses for their marine biology degree. Some focus on oceanography, others focus on biology or particular biomes (I.e. tropical, rocky shore, etc.) so it’s worth having a think about what you are interested in and searching for universities with a focus in that.
Feel free to ask me follow up questions and I’ll do my best to answer.
